Swanley Park 1812 Evening

The 1812 Concert and Fireworks night/Folk Fest in Swanley Park will once again take place over 2 days, Friday 23rd August and Saturday 24th August.

The 23rd August event will follow the same format as last year where there will be activities for families all day.

The evening entertainment will begin around 5.30pm with a performance from solo act Ashton Harley.

The Rock Choir will perform at 6:30pm.

Followed by Eynsford Concert Band who will commence playing at 7.30pm ending with the 1812 overture and Firework display.

This event will finish around 9.00pm.

As I am sure you are aware cats, dogs and other animals are often scared when Fireworks go off so it may be best to keep them indoors between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

On Saturday 24th August there will be the usual activities in the park. In addition to this there will be a Folk Festival and we currently have six bands booked to perform from 2.00pm to 9.30pm.

On Friday 23rd only in order to ease congestion and make the area safe for cars and pedestrians entering and leaving the evening part of the event a temporary one way street closure has been granted by Kent Highways on New Barn Road between 5.00pm and 9.45pm.

This is a legal diversion and any vehicle having an accident as a result of refusing to follows directions could find that their insurance is invalidated.
