Today, Swanley Town Council are celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for Swanley Park, Elephant Park and Swanley Recreation Ground.
Each will raise the prestigious Green Flag Award after achieving an international quality mark for parks and green spaces.
The news that our parks have achieved the accreditation – the international quality mark for parks and green spaces – is a testament to the hard work and dedication to the team and volunteers who care for these green spaces so that visitors and residents alike can enjoy them.
This year Swanley Park has received its seventh consecutive Green Flag Award with Swanley Recreation Ground and Elephant Park both receiving their fourth consecutive Green Flag Awards.
Parks & Open Spaces Manager George Brooker said “The staff and volunteers work tirelessly and do such an incredible job when it comes to maintaining and flourishing these green spaces within the community, it’s a remarkable success and for this to be recognised with three Green Flag Awards, everyone involved in the upkeep and care of the parks and green spaces should feel extremely proud of this amazing achievement.”
